Women In Medtech: Anna Feygina

Careers for the head and heart

Meet women who are changing lives at LivaNova

Anna Feygina

Anna Feygina is a Senior Medical Liaison for Neuromodulation in the Asia-Pacific region at LivaNova in Singapore. She uses her medical background as a neurologist to aid LivaNova in increasing awareness about drug-resistant epilepsy, non-pharmacological treatments, and VNS Therapy among healthcare professionals, patients, and their families. She has been with the company since August 2018.

Q: What led you to a career in medtech?

A: The medtech field allows me to continue my journey in science and medicine, while expanding into marketing, communication, and presentation skills. I get to use my medical expertise to provide my colleagues with specific, relevant data that assists them in resolving issues and finding answers.

Q: Tell us a little bit about your career path and what led you to LivaNova.

A: I had 18 years of experience as a neurologist and a Ph.D. specializing in epilepsy when I began working at LivaNova with its unique, drug-resistant epilepsy equipment. I became familiar with this equipment during my internship at the Cleveland Clinic in the U.S. several years ago. Initially, I managed operations in Russia, but my region expanded to include more countries in the Commonwealth of Independent States. Last year, LivaNova relocated me to Singapore, where I am now responsible for the Asia-Pacific region.

Q: Who is a woman who has mentored or inspired you throughout your career?

A: My first and main inspiration has been my mother, who was very successful and ambitious. She earned her second degree at 45 while caring for her husband, two daughters, and aging parents. In recent years, my inspiration is my current manager, who is supportive, sensitive, and my role model for balancing a successful career while also being a wife, mother, and daughter.

Q: How would you describe your experience at LivaNova?

A: I appreciate LivaNova for giving me opportunities to grow and develop as a medical expert. I also value our company’s supportive and nurturing work environment.

Q: What keeps you engaged in your work?

A: The good work I do helps people around the world, allowing me to improve even more lives than I could being a physician.

Q: Why would you encourage other women in medtech to work at LivaNova?

A: LivaNova offers women opportunities for career and personal development, enabling them to balance these achievements with their social and personal lives.

Q: Can you share with us a little-known fact about yourself?

A: I adore sewing and playing the piano. One of the first things I bought after moving to Singapore was a piano, which brings me a sense of home in my new place.
