Q: What do you enjoy about working in medtech?

A: I enjoy working in medtech because it touches patients, peers, co-workers, customers and clinicians. We encounter a lot of people, which keeps you grounded. I also really enjoy that I get to meet so many people around the world. It opens your view on the world. You understand people better and I have real, genuine interest in people. I believe that’s important.

Q: Is there a woman who mentored or inspired you throughout your career?

A: I admire a lot of people; gender should not matter. I’ve learned a lot from the people around me, men and women, by having an open mind, listening and trying to understand their point of view. Respect is key and you can learn from every single person you meet and make your own self with all these different pieces of the puzzle.

Q: What is the most helpful benefit that LivaNova offers its employees?

A: That depends on your role, but I would say flexibility and openness. Our management team is very approachable.

Q: What inspires you to do this work?

Q: Why would you encourage other women in medtech to specifically come work at LivaNova?

A: It’s a mid-size company with a human touch. We have the advantage to be able to maneuver more quickly than the big guys do.

Q: Please share with us a little-known fact about you.

A: I learned to read braille … but that is a complete other story!
