Q: What led you to pursue a career in medtech?

A: I am passionate about accessible healthcare. At LivaNova, there is always a patient at the end of what we do, and this drives and motivates me to show up and do better each day.

Q: Tell us a little bit about your career path and what led you to LivaNova.

A: I am a science graduate, so I never envisioned myself working in the corporate world. My initial entry into the corporate culture began when I joined Goldman Sachs as a business analyst in 2010. I immediately fell in love with the fast-paced atmosphere, but the link to science was still missing. I had a desire to work in science and biology, so I completed my MBA. Then, I secured an internship (and later a full-time position) at Becton Dickinson and began my journey in medtech. I gained experience in sales and marketing across two divisions at the company: pharmaceutical systems and interventional. Over the last seven years, I have learned a lot about different product categories, customer segments and various aspects of marketing. These experiences led me to take on the role of Senior Marketing Manager for South Asia at LivaNova.

Q: How would you describe your experience at LivaNova?

A: My experience at LivaNova has been great, and I enjoy working with my team. The organization has been very supportive, and my colleagues’ initial guidance helped me settle in quickly. Plus, LivaNova’s culture promotes flexibility and work-life balance, which I think is a great benefit.

Q: How important is it for you to have other women on your team?

A: It is important for me to work at a place that believes in diversity and inclusion. Working with driven women on the team is great because we can learn from each other. Diversity makes any team stronger!

Q: What keeps you the most engaged at LivaNova in your work?

A: Working on multiple projects with different colleagues allows me to stay engaged because I get to learn new things from them.

Q: Why would you encourage other women in medtech to work at LivaNova?

A: LivaNova has a great working culture and remains focused on the needs of its patients. I would encourage people who are passionate about working in healthcare to join the organization. It is great to see diversity and inclusion because it indicates that the organization is committed to cultivating a great place for women to work.

Q: Tell us a fun fact about yourself.

A: I love travelling and exploring new places. I also enjoy reading – mostly fiction!
