NOTICE ABOUT NON-U.S. PATIENT DATA

May 21, 2024

To Patients Outside of the U.S.,

LivaNova experienced a cybersecurity incident that occurred around October 26, 2023, which we discovered on November 19, 2023. The incident resulted in a disruption to portions of our IT systems. Promptly after detecting the issue, we began an investigation with assistance from external cybersecurity experts and coordinated with law enforcement. We took action to remediate the issue, such as taking certain systems offline.

In the course of analyzing the data, we recently learned that an unauthorized party obtained certain identifiable personal information of patients who reside outside of the U.S. The information, which varied by affected individual, included data such as name, date of birth, and medical information (e.g., condition, treatment, physician and device serial number).

We encourage affected patients to remain vigilant for incidents of fraud and identity theft by reviewing their account statements. We also recommend remaining alert for unsolicited communications involving personal information.

We regret any concern this issue may cause. If you have questions or would like additional information about this issue, you can contact 214-393-2519, Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. CT (excluding major U.S. holidays). Please be prepared to provide engagement number B123255.
